Good morning, Eagles:
As you may have heard through the news media, there have been some threats to schools in various areas of the state. We do not know the content or nature of the threats. However, South Putnam Schools have NOT received any threats and will operate as normal. We will continue to actively monitor the situation and provide updates if anything changes.
Dr. Smith

Congratulations to Central's Math Bowl Team! They represented us very well and we are proud of them.

The student council visited South Putnam Middle/High School on Monday to sample new food items for the cafeteria. They met with the food service department to give their opinions on these foods to help find new options for students.

Good afternoon,
We wanted to let families know that we are closely monitoring our weather conditions. If the weather turns bad enough that a tornado warning is issued during our dismissal times, we will hold all students in the building whether they are bus riders or car riders. Parents would be allowed to enter the building and take shelter as well. Safety is our number 1 priority.
Thank you and stay safe.
Todd Gowen, Principal

The South Putnam Middle School Band Program is looking for students currently in 5th grade to Be Part of the Band. Students interested in joining the Band Program need to attend the Instrument Testing Open House on Wednesday, April 12th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the South Putnam Middle School/High School Cafeteria. During the event, students will have a chance to try out instruments, rent an instrument, and sign up for band. Students will be able to enroll in the Band Program on one of the following instruments; Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, or Euphonium/Baritone. In the interest of space, we ask that only the student and one parent/guardian attend the open house if possible. Questions should be directed to the Band Director, Thomas Champion, at tchampion@sputnam.k12.in.us. Visit our website (www.southputmusic.com) for more information.
