Welcome to Central Elementary Mrs. Chassey, Miss Cloe, Miss Dickison, and Mr. Rockey!

Ben Lytle Kicks Off the 2026-2027 School Year
What an honor to welcome Ben Lytle to our all-staff back-to-school meeting this morning.
Ben founded Anthem, now Elevance. He built Silver Sneakers into one of the largest exercise programs in the country. In 2024, he was named a Living Legend of Indiana. He is the author of The Potentialist book series.
He could speak anywhere. He chose to spend his morning with South Putnam educators.
His challenge to our staff was simple: our students will grow up in a world none of us can fully picture yet, and our job is to give them what no technology can. Character. Wisdom. The choice to be fully human.
Thank you, Ben, for the encouragement and the challenge.
Every Student. Every Day. Go Eagles.

💙❤️ A Message from the South Putnam Café Food Service Director ❤️💙
As we prepare to welcome our students back, I want to share a quick update from the South Putnam Café.
The health and safety of our students is always our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution and due to recent concerns regarding Cyclospora, we have made the decision to temporarily remove fresh lettuce from our menus. We are working closely with our local health department and will resume serving lettuce as soon as it is considered safe.
Please know that our students will still be offered fresh vegetables every day.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we put student safety first. My team and I are excited to welcome everyone back and look forward to serving healthy, delicious meals all year long.
See you soon, Eagles! 🦅🍎🥕❤️💙

BIG NEWS, Eagle Nation!
We are THRILLED to officially welcome Chris Jones as the next Principal of South Putnam Middle/High School!
Chris isn’t just coming to South Putnam — he’s coming HOME. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back to the nest.
The future is bright at South Putnam, and we know Chris brings the passion, the vision, and the deep love for this community that our students and staff deserve. This is going to be an incredible year!
Mr. Jones, the nest is ready! Eagle Nation is behind you. Let’s get to work!
Welcome home, Chris. Welcome back to South Putnam!
And as always… it’s a GREAT day to be an Eagle! 🦅

Congratulations to Livia, Ruby, and Landon on having perfect attendance the entire school year! This means they were here everyday, had no tardies, and did not leave early. This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of them.

Students created Rube Goldberg projects to complete a simple task: turn a light on/off, throw something away, close a cabinet door.
