South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character. 

What's Happening

The Student Council is sponsoring Fabulous Friday in February. Students can pay $1 to their teacher for EACH day they choose to dress up for.

Our teachers and students are ready for our next Home Learning Day on Monday, February 17th. Each child has practiced/simulated what the expectations of them are for that day. In addition, all our teachers have communicated multiple times with parents about the methods of communication that will be utilized.
