South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character.

South Putnam Middle School-High School and Central Elementary food pick-up is from 10:30 am -12:30 pm on Friday, January 15th, Tuesday, January 19th (for Tuesday and Wednesday) and Thursday, January 21st (for Thursday and Friday) at the back of the high school at door #9. Christmas Spirit Days: Monday, December 14th - Christmas Socks Tuesday, December 15th - Ugly Sweater or Dress Day. Wednesday, December 16th - Baby, It's Cold Outside Day; wear your Christmas hats, gloves and scarves. Thursday, December 17th - Grinch Day; Dress like the Grinch, Cindy Lou or any Who. Friday, December 18th - Red and Green Day; wear your best Christmas attire.

Spell Bowl Team
Congratulations to the Spell Bowl team. We placed 3rd in the State in the Red Division on Monday night. We scored 71 points out of a possible 80 points. We had four perfect scores of 10: Melissa Anderson, Nevaeh Reeves, Elliana Cox, and Jackson Webster. Mollie Huber had a near perfect score of 9. Great job to Riley Casteel, Elliana Cox, Jackson Webster, Sophia Helton, Mollie Huber, Nevaeh Reeves, Natalie Dobson, Drexel Partin, and Melissa Anderson.We are so proud of you and all the hard work you did this year. We also want to recognize Bryan Bye for all the hard work he did last year. He didn’t get to compete in the Scripps National Spell Bowl competition in March. He put in countless hours practicing thousands of words. We are very proud of you. You represented us well.
